Richard "Rick" Samuel DeBord, age 62, of Powell, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Rick was a life time member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. He played the trumpet in the church orchestra and enjoyed all genres of music. Rick was a die hard Vol fan and attended games regularly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh and Vivian DeBord; grandparents, William and Charlotte Atchley, Roy and Gertrude DeBord; sister in-law, Debra DeBord and brother in-law, Frank Jeffries.
Rick is survived by his children, Nolan Patrick DeBord (Emily), Veronica Blair DeBord, Alexis Nicole DeBord; brother, William "Randy" DeBord; sisters, Charlotte Jeffries and Marilyn Ward; grandchildren, Aria Grace DeBord, Rose McKenna Decker and Gemma Ann DeBord; and several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a couple of girlfriends.
The family will receive friends, Monday, May 24, 2021 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Tuesday May 25, 2021 for a 1:00 PM graveside service.
