Richard Faville Venable

Richard Faville Venable, age 75 of Knoxville, passed away March 22, 2025. He retired from the University of Tennessee, and was a proud Bronze Star recipient for his service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Preceded in death by his parents, Sam A. and Mary Elizabeth Venable; and wife, Bobbye Venable.

He is survived by his son, Steven Venable (Felicia); grandchildren: Ashton Harris (Rocky), Bobbye Venable, Patrick Venable, Monty Venable, and Sarah Venable; siblings: Suzy Deaton (Tony), Sam Venable (Mary Ann), Ronny Venable (Lianne Kressin); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM Friday, March 28, 2025 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 PM. Family and friends will proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for interment following the funeral service.
