Age 65 of Knoxville went to her heavenly home on February 1, 2021, surrounded by family. She is proceeded in death by her parents; Cline Flynn and Ruby Flynn; brothers Gene Flynn and Gary Flynn.
She is survived by the love of her life of 47 years, Malcolm Tindell (Handsome); daughters Becky Curington, Leann Tindell, Emily (Ande) Boyer; Son/nephew Kent (Sydney) Flynn; grandchildren David (Beth) Curington; Ryan (Bri) Curington; Jordan, Isaac, Bubba Wilson; Alyssa, Karra, Addison Graham; Marshall Tindell; Brothers Sam (Linda) Flynn; Frankie (Tammie) Flynn; Willard Robinson; Special members of the family Matt, Lori, Gavin, Blaine and Keagan Cantrell; BFF Teresa Elliott; Special Cousin Susan Williamson; Special Aunt Betty Jo Flynn; Special nieces Lila and Kori Flynn; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rita leaves behind many extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend great gratitude to the Fort Sanders ICU Unit and Team.
Rita touched so many lives with her love. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with her generosity and love. She left an everlasting mark on everyone she met. She taught many lessons to everyone whether it was making her famous angel biscuits or how to take care of someone. Her dedication to her family was truly remarkable. She was the anchor of the family. She will be missed beyond measure.
Family will receive friends, Thursday February 11, 2021 at Arrowhead Church of God of Prophecy, 3113 W. Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, Tennessee, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM. Pastor Terry Barnwell and Pastor Paul Holt officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, February 12, 2021 for a 10:30 AM graveside service at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, Tennessee.
