Robert J. Atkins, age 84, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. Preceded in death by wife, Onie Mae Atkins. Survived by six children, thirteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. He was loved and respected. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday with the funeral service to follow at 7 pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway. Rev. Major Dalton will officiate.
