

Mallard, Robert H., age 92, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Seymour. Robert was a retired veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and Korea and retired during the Vietnam War. He began his military career with the Sixth US Horse Cavalry. He worked for Grumman Aircraft in the space program and retired from the State of Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Mallard; grandson, Shannon Mallard; mother and fathers, Rosa and John Hall and John Mallard; and brother, Eugene Hall . He is survived by children: Sandra Tanaka, Bobbie Mallard, Mike and Sherry Mallard; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and caregiver, Shirley Smith. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Seymour with the Funeral Mass to follow at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at the rotunda at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Thursday at 11:30 AM for interment services. Robert will receive full military honors.
