Robert R Sliger

Robert R. Sliger, born June 23, 1939, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 20, 2015. Bob, of Louisville, Tennessee was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge and was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Annabell Sliger; sister, Barbara Koontz; brother, Sam Sliger; granddaughter Misty Large Noble; brothers-in-law, Gordon Johnson and Don Woulard; and nephew, Dale Sliger. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Nancy Sliger; daughters, Teresa Rose and husband, David; Cindi Large; Kim Spangler and husband, Jeff; and son Robert, Jr. (Robby); grandchildren, Matthew, Leah, and Jonathan Rose; Jacob and Mark Spangler; Aaron Clark; Chase, Dyllan, Mason, and Emily Sliger; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Braden; brother, Jack Sliger and wife, Joyce; sisters-in-law, Carol Sliger and Joyce Woulard; brother-in-law David Keith and wife, Dolores; several beloved nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow, Rev. Clarence Gresham, Rev. Chris Sliger, and Rev. Tim Townsend officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Friday at 11:00 AM for the interment.
