

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy for six years before beginning a distinguished 39-year career with Otis Elevator, where his dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic earned the respect of those around him. He was also a proud member of Beaver Ridge Lodge #366, Free & Accepted Masons of Tennessee, where he enjoyed the fellowship and values of the Masonic brotherhood.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Chattman Easterday and Marie Easterday.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara L. Easterday; his children, Roger C. Easterday (Angela), Tim Easterday (Linda), Kevin L. Postreich (Sherri), and Kathleen A. Fleming (Steve Bosmeny), Brian Goins who was like a 4th son to him that he grew to love over the years. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, each of whom brought him tremendous joy and pride.
Roger was a man of few words, but when he spoke, his family knew they were hearing words of wisdom. He loved his family fiercely and never hesitated to put their needs before his own. If someone needed help, Roger would drop everything to be there. He was dependable, humble, and selfless—a quiet strength that could always be counted on. His actions spoke louder than words, and his unwavering love and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught through his example, his steadfast love, and his quiet acts of kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of his family for generations to come.
