I grew up in the same neighborhood and went to school with Ronald and Donald. Ronald always had a  smile on his face when he saw you. Condolences to the family.

I came to Redemption Church in the early 1980's with several members of Shekinah Christian Fellowship. Ron and Barbara Arnold were two of the first Redemption members that I met. They welcomed me and made me feel at home. Ron always had a smile and hug for me whenever I saw him. We compared notes about our shared last name and told everyone that we were brothers. He was my new-found brother in Christ! Ron was full of the Word and you could always count on him to give an exhortation to lift your spirit.
Ron joined in with the men's early morning prayer sessions and we were always blessed with his effectual fervent, scripture-filled prayers. I thank God for Ron's love and acceptance and his influence on my Christian walk. I am looking forward to our continued fellowship in the future.

So sorry for your loss Barbara & family, since 95' when I joined RC I feel like my heart was knit together with you & Ron, you showed such kindness and love to me  that I'll treasure forever, you'll be in my prayers...

Ron always included me! He poured into my life and made sure I felt that I was “his people”.  He  and Barbara told me all the time that I was their family and it wasn’t just spoken word, it was from his heart! He spoke the word over me and encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. I love him dearly.

To Barbara Williams Arnold and the family of Ron Arnold I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ron.  Although Ron and my sister Lynda were classmates I remember Ron and his siblings well. That is the kind of community we grew up in. Rest well Big brother. I'll see you when I get there. Much love and prayers to his dear wife and daughters. Ron was a good man. He was a family man and loved his wife, Barbara and his two girls. Whenever you saw Barbara, Ron was somewhere close by. I first met Ron in 1996 when I became a member of Redemption Church. We sung in the choir together for several years. Ron was like the father figure of the men in the choir. When he got a little too rowdy, he would get up back in line. Some of my memorable times with Ron was when the choir would travel to different places to sing. We would have fun praising the Lord.  Other memorable times are when we would have communion at church and Ron and Barbara would be a the door handing out the elements. I would pretend to take an element for his basket but at the last minute, take it Barbara's basket. We would laugh about the whole thing. He would always tell me that I probably needed two. Ron will be deeply missed. I am thankful to have known Ron and to call him a friend.
