Ronald David Dillon, age 79, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2022. Ron was an avid golfer and spent countless hours enjoying the links at Holston Hills Country Club. He loved watching his grandkids play baseball. Ron was a mentor for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization and was a past president of the Knoxville Stroke Club. He was the owner of Dixie Brokerage Company and spent his entire career working in the food industry. Ron was a member of West Hills Baptist Church and dedicated his time helping the children's ministry. Ron never allowed his stroke disability to stop his determination to never give up.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Geary and Thelma Dillon; brother, Geary P. Dillon, III; and daughter, Crystal Dillon.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharon H. Dillon; children, Fred (Deana) Dillon, David (Donna) Dillon; grandchildren, Mason (Lacey) Dillon, Jessica (Shane) Stiffler, Michael Ogg, Jacob Dillon, Cameron Dillon; great-grandchildren, Allie Jo Stiffler and Caleb Stiffler; and siblings, Beth Dillon and Mike (Wanda) Dillon.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM officiated by Rev. Drew Prince. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM for a graveside service in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
