Ronnie attended Gibbs Elementary and Hardin Valley Academy. From an early age, he carried a steady kindness that made people feel at ease, paired with a gentle, quiet humor that could brighten a room without ever asking for attention.
He found joy in simple, good days—fishing, disc golfing, hiking, video games, swimming, and time at the beach. Ronnie also loved cooking and music, and in those everyday passions, his generous spirit and compassionate heart showed through. Those closest to him will especially miss his contagious smile and his goofy, soft-spoken way of being—an easy warmth that made others feel welcomed and cared for.
Ronnie is survived by his mother, Karen Franklin; sisters, Lindsey , Rebecca and Addisyn; brothers, Eli, JoJo, Leland, Jaron, Dominique, Damain, and Daimen; step-father, Frank Zimmerman; uncles, Brian Wolfe (Stephanie) and Micheal Franklin (Angela); aunt, Ayme Major (Jordan); and grandfather, Frank Zimmerman Sr (Debbie). He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Dale Mack Sr; grandmother, Sherry Wolfe; and grandfather, Robert Franklin.
Ronnie’s life, though far too brief, leaves a cherished legacy of kindness, generosity, and quiet laughter—an enduring reminder of the good a compassionate heart can bring into the world. We will be celebrating Ronnie's life on Saturday, August 22, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Westside Unitarian Universalist Church, 616 Fretz Road, Knoxville, TN, 37934.
