LEWIS, ROSEMARY - age 86 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully March 6, 2018 in her room at Windsor Gardens Assisted Living after an extended illness. She was a beloved wife, mother, friend to all, and will be remembered for her spunky, fun-loving personality. She was a member of Faith Promise Church and was retired from Anderson County Schools where she worked in the cafeteria. Rosemary loved music; loved to sing, play guitar and wrote her own songs; loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs and cats. Rosemary was also an amazing cook and baker. Preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Stella (Mozingo) Leach; brother, Carl Leach; sisters, Kathleen (Lane), Adelyn (Green), Zula (French), Linda (Reed), Dean Leach, and Jeanette Leach; husband, Eugene A. Lewis. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sheila (Burns) Lewis of Memphis, TN; brother-in-law, Bob Lewis (Fran) of Vacaville, CA; sister-in-law, Wilma Leach of Lake City; Cousin, Jp Gibson (Doris) of Bowling Green, FL; nieces, Carla Jeffers (Scott) of Jacksboro, TN, Lori Lewis of Santa Barbara, CA, Kimberly Peglow of Silverdale, WA, Kelly Avery (Mark) of Fairfield, CA., Julie Codron of Napa, CA, Jaime Reed of Knoxville, TN, nephews; Tim Leach of Lake City, TN, Mike Lewis (Monique) of Santa Cruz, CA, Michael Lewis of Olathe, KS; great nephews, Josh Jeffers (Dana) of Fort Myers, FL and Jason Hensel of Dallas, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at Faith Promise Church (Anderson Campus) 96 Mariner Point Drive, Clinton, TN 37716 on Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation in Rosemary Lewis’ name be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or the Humane Society of The Tennessee Valley, Knoxville, TN.
