A devoted wife, cherished mother, and adoring "Nanny" to her grandbabies, Rose's greatest joy in life was her family. She shared nearly 30 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Rose had a big heart and an even bigger personality. She was kind, loveable, and had a way of making people feel welcome and at ease. She never hesitated to speak her mind — always honest, always real — and those who knew her appreciated her strength and authenticity.
Her grandbabies were the light of her life, and they adored their Nanny just as deeply. Whether she was sharing a warm hug, a funny story, or her signature smile, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Rose had a soft spot for frogs, a symbol of her playful spirit and unique charm. She loved deeply, laughed freely, and left behind a legacy of love that will be carried in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Preceded in death by daughter, Tammy McMillan; father, Ernest Parton and mother, Mercedes Jiminez.
She is survived by her loving family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends will meet Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a 1:00 PM Graveside service officiated by John Parton.
