

Russell Claude "R.C." Walker, 87, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was called home on June 21, 2026, at Jefferson Park Health and Rehab at Dandridge. A gentle soul by nature, R.C. lived life on his own terms, finding joy in the treasures of the past through his love of antiques, the quiet mornings spent hunting with his beloved coonhounds, and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts and friends at gun shows. He leaves behind a legacy of peaceful living and simple pleasures and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
R.C. was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louella Walker; parents, Frank “Babe” Walker, and Ollie Lundy Walker; sisters, Shirley Zachary and Judy Ogle.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Lynn, and Sally (Jay) Branch, along with four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many dear friends and neighbors whose lives were richer for knowing him.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Jefferson Park Health and Rehab at Dandridge for the exceptional and compassionate care provided to R.C. during his final months. A special thank you is extended to Shirley Miller, LPN, and Beth Drinnon, CNA, whose kindness, and dedication meant more than words can express.
Family and friends will gather to honor the life and legacy of R.C. at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway, Knoxville, TN 37924, with a receiving of friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and a memorial service to follow at 7:00pm.
