Sabina "Sibby" M. Martin, 61, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, at UT Medical Center. Born in Pennsylvania, Sibby moved to Tennessee as a teenager and made her home in Blount and Knox counties, touching the lives of many with her kind heart and unforgettable personality.
Sibby loved her work with the Collier Restaurant Group and found special joy in giving back through her many years of volunteering at the Blount County Animal Center, where her compassion for animals shone brightest, especially with her beloved dog, Beau. She had a gift for finding happiness in life's simple pleasures, singing into a hairbrush microphone to Fleetwood Mac and Barbra Streisand, losing herself in a good book, cheering on UT football, Lady Vols softball team, gathering the family for card nights playing Skat. But nothing meant more to her than her grandchildren, whom she loved "to the moon and back."
Sibby was greeted into the gates of Eternity by her husband, Dennis R. Martin; parents, Curtis Moyer Sr. and Patricia Riggs.
She leaves behind to carry on her legacy of love her children, Aaron (Danica) Martin, Elizabeth (Tim) Matusiewicz, and Allison (Andy) Beal; her sisters, Jennifer (Steve) Leatherwood, Patricia (David) Bittles; her cherished grandchildren, Kaleb and Kaysen Beal; nieces Samantha Evans, Katie Grace; nephews, Isaiah Leatherwood, Jacob Bittles; great-niece, Addison Evans; great-nephews, Jensin Williams, and Memphis Evans.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the legacy of Sibby at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, with a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm, a committal service will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00am, with John Thacker to officiate the services.
