Sammie Ray Palmer

Sammie Ray Palmer, age 73, of Powell, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023. Sam was a 1967 graduate of Young High School and served in the US Army from 1968-1970. He was also a member of the Powell Masonic Lodge #582.

Sam is preceded in death by his fiance, Melinda Lynch; parents, Mary and Ott Palmer; and sister, Sandra Seals.

He leaves behind his daughter, Stacy Trentham (Scott); grandchildren, Samantha Romo (Bubba) and Jacob Trentham; bonus daughter, Laura Slagle (Kelly Hance); siblings: Mildred Norton, Fran Brooks, Elizabeth Wilson, Jay Palmer (Elaine), Jerry Palmer (Nancy), Lynn Palmer (Sandy), Sheila Palmer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 Saturday, March 18, 2023.
