What an honor to have been your nephew! What an honor to sing at your funeral! Uncle Oscar I love you and Marie. There are more of you there in heaven now and I am jealous and can't wait till we are all there. Oscar ALWAYS grabbed my arm and ask when I was going to work out and told Kathy she needed to feed me!!! To grow up on the "hill" we were the luckiest kids in the world!! Jack, Rick and all the family God bless you and I love you all.

I only met Oscar twice, both within the last month of his life. But, we had an immediate rapport. He asked me to read a letter his wife of 67 years wrote to him on an anniversary. Her words to him, the way he spoke of her and his response to my tearful reaction illustrated so much. Besides a jokester with a keen wit and love for life, he was a devoted husband and proud family man. I am certain he will be missed by countless many. I'm glad I had the opportunity to know him, even though for such a short time.

Jackie,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. We were just talking about him at our Reunion, and now this, so unexpected. In reading his Obit, he was a very brave veteran fighting for our Country with the Greatest Generation. His attributes and all his positive activities following the war were amazing. You are a true friend and inspiration to me. Your BHS classmate, Bayard

Jack and Rick, I'm sure you probably won't remember me, but my family and I went to Third Creek many years ago with your family. I am Patricia Webster Smith. My mom and dad were Jeanette and Joe Webster. My older brother was Archie and my younger brother was Robert. My mom was pianist for years at Third Creek. I was very sorry to hear about your mom and dad passing, but I know they are both with their savior because they were good Christian people. I pray that God will give you both strength and comfort during this very sad time of your lives, as I lost my mom and dad several years ago. Bless you both and all your family and turn to God for all your needs, he will see you through your darkest times. I would love to hear from you and can be reached at 865-360-4593 any time. Once again, so sorry for your loss.
