Samuel K. (Sam) Jones Sr.

Samuel K. (Sam) Jones, Sr., age 72 of Knoxville passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was a Senior MSgt. In the Air Force for 23 years and also worked for the Postal Service for another 23 years. Preceded in death by his first wife, Keiko Yamada Jones; parents, J. Russell Jones, Sr. and Martha; brother, Joe and sister-in-law, Rachel. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Terri; sons, Sam (Lea) and Chris (Brandie); daughter, Jessica Jones, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Hardin and Mary Swafford; brother, J.R. Jones and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday at Weaver’s Chapel from 5:00-7:00 pm with service to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Frankie Phillips officiating Family and friends will meet 9:45 am Wednesday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 am interment. Condolences are welcome at weaverfuneralservices.com.
