Sarah Nell Miller

Sarah Nell Miller, age 88, a longtime resident of South Knoxville and 1946 graduate of Young High School, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Sarah worked for Knox Tenn Rental, was head of the accounting office in Gatlinburg of Hickman, Pugh Co., and for Add-Rite Business Machines in Knoxville. Sarah was also employed by the University of Tennessee. In addition she worked several years for Mr. Frank Ambrister at Rental Homes, Inc. Sarah was proudest of ushering at the Knoxville Coliseum for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Miller and Mollie Spires Miller; brother, Howard Miller, Jr.; and sister, Clara Bell Sharp. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Ernest Sharp, and his sons, Terry Sharp and Steve Sharp. Sarah is also survived by nieces Sherrie and Sonya Demonbruen and Karla Jay; sister-in-law, Vicki Miller; nephews, Kenny Miller, Terry Miller, Jason Miller and David Turner. She surely will be missed by cousins, Wayne and Jo Evans; special friends, Tracey Gardner and Kim Carson; special neighbors; and the many folks she had befriended through the years. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to St. Jude or your favorite charity. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Berry Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee.
