My Papaw was a class act. He has instilled in me a lost connection with people. He never met a stranger, and helped others more than he received most of the time. He was a giving, loyal to the Lord man. A wonderful person. More people should be like Papaw. A really good person.

Dear cousins,
I am so sad about the passing of Uncle S.R. All of you are in my prayers. I loved him.
I cannot attend his services tonight and tomorrow due to leaving town but I will have you all in my heart.

My sweet papaw... I will always remember his sense of humor (I definitely got mine from him), his love for the Lord- I can only hope to have a tenth of the love he had, his love for people and their salvation- could definitely be more like him in this aspect, and last but not least, his love for food- cheese, bread, and potatoes- we shared a number of cheeseburgers and fries over the years. :)

Everyone keeps telling me, "He was a good man." That is the legacy I want to leave, "She was a good woman." And to do that is to love the Lord with all your heart, everything flows from that. I will miss my papaw obviously but he will always be in my heart and will always be an inspiration. ❤ Merry Christmas in Heaven papaw, I love you.
