Sheila Kay Bedford Vess

Shelia Kay Bedford Vess, of Knoxville, our loving mother, gently and peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a CNA for 16 years and an LPN for 30 years. She committed her life to serving others. Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Vess; father, James Edward Bedford, Sr.; sister, Sherrie Lundy; nephew, Daniel Lundy. Survived by her mother, Violet Bedford; children, Angela Lane and husband Dean, and Bridgette Bledsoe; grandchildren, Dustin Lane and wife Amanda, Anthony Lane and wife April, Joshua Lane, James Bishop; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Ramona Gibbs and husband David; brothers, Mike Bedford, J.B. Bedford, Rick Bedford and wife Angelia, Ron Bedford, Jerry Bedford and wife Karen, Jack Bedford and wife Jeannie. The family will receive friends from 5:30pm until 7:30pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 with the funeral service to follow at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Pastor Toby Webber will officiate. Family and friends will meet at noon Friday, September 22, 2017 to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00pm interment.
