Shirley Ann Barnard

Barnard, Shirley Ann Cross, 67 of Powell went to be with her heavenly father on September 6, 2014 after an extended hospitalization. She was a devoted wife, mother, grammy, sister, aunt and friend to many. She retired from Levi Strauss in Powell after 25 years of service. She enjoyed camping and fellowship with her special friends at Terry Point Campground on Douglas Lake. She was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie A. Barnard; her parents Roland C. Cross and Ethel Kitts Cross; brother-in-laws Stan Brookshire, Joe Kirby, Lowell Richards, Jerry Barnard, Harold Kelley and sister-in-law Carolyn Barnard. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Teresa and Greg Long of Powell and Kelley and Stuart Simpson of South Knoxville; grandchildren Hunter Long; Haley and Sara Mikels and Emma Simpson. Brother John Cross; Sisters Wilma Brookshire; Annetta Kirby; Sue Richards; and Linda Perry. Sister- in-laws Sandra Kelley; Wilma Sue (Bill) Pointer Brothers-in-law Ken (Erna) Barnard; Harold (Sidney) Barnard. Several nieces, nephews and cousins that meant the world to her. Call at convenience on Monday September 8, 2014 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM with a Celebration of life at 7:30 PM at Powell United Methodist Church 323 W. Emory Rd. Powell Tn.
