Shirley Jean (Stinson) Fine Holcomb

Shirley Fine Holcomb (née Stinson), age 88, of Knoxville, peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2026. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lonnie Joe and Kate Marie Stinson; her grandson, Alec Sanford Lansing; and her late husbands, Bobby Sanford Fine and Robert Stephen Holcomb.

Some of Shirley’s happiest memories were of growing up on her family’s farm in Newport, TN, raising her four children, and making wonderful memories with her five grandchildren. During her senior year of high school, Shirley was voted “Best All-Around,” and it showed in her daily life in every way. Of all her happiest days, the days she was actively involved in church and witnessing for the Lord were among her most cherished.

Shirley was a gourmet cook, a member of the Belmont West Garden Club, and an avid gardener who often won the Yard of the Month Award in her neighborhood. She loved the UT Vols and was often seen at out-of-town and home games.

She is survived by her four children, Robert Michael Fine (Amy), Pamela Jean Lansing, Jeffrey Allen Fine (Pam), and Lisa Ann Devenyi (Clayton); four grandchildren, Zachery Hugh Fine, Tanner Allen Fine, Hannah Elisabeth Rosson, and Avery Nicole Fine; her brother, Roger Stinson; her niece, Faye Walker; and her nephew, Randy Stinnes.

Shirley will forever be missed by her family and friends. The family will gather for a private burial to honor her life and cherish the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Shirley is now in Heaven, resting in the arms of Jesus.
