I am heartbroken for Mighty Matt, Terry and to all of us who had the great honor and privilege to know Shirley. She was always the finest Christian lady and very kind to me. I am grateful to have known her and this world has lost a saint, but heaven has gained an angel. God bless you Shirley and Rest In Peace.

Shirley was my friend for over 50 years . We bowled, played tennis, attended church, and took vacations together in our single and married years, she was a beautiful bridesmaid in our wedding. Shirley was a most gracious giving and loving person. I will miss her beyond words, but I also know she is out of pain and walking the streets of heaven singing Gods praises and would only want us left behind to do the same.

With great love and remembrance, Patsy Moss

Terry and Matthew,

Shirley was one of my best friends in high school and I still vividly remember the day I met her at her office at UT hospital some 38 years ago--and she told me she was engaged to marry you, Terry.

She simply radiated happiness, was all smiles, and I could tell you were her 'forever' man.

Special memories of her growing up with us high school buddies and her life with you and Matthew will stay with us forever. She was truly a bright, shining light in all our lives! Hugs and Blessings,

Connie Littlefield Lewis

Terry & Matthew,

So sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I worked with Shirley at UT in the Department of Communications back in the late 1980's, when she was Conrad Reinhardt's assistant. Shirley was always very sweet, fun-loving and kind to everyone. She always had a smile for you and loved to laugh. As time passed, I would run into her every now and then on campus but it had been many years since we last spoke and I was unaware that she had been ill. I will always have fond memories of Shirley. May God bless you, keep you and give you strength through this difficult time.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers,

Chris Helton
