Shirley M. Lewis, a cherished resident of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Knoxville on February 24, 1939, Shirley spent her life surrounded by family and friends in her beloved hometown. She worked at Quality Crafters and Standard Knitting Mills until her retirement in 1989.
Shirley was married to William Lewis for 62 wonderful years. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Lewis; her grandchildren, Stacy Lewis and Joshua Lewis; and her great-grandchild, Brayden Lewis; great nieces, Maria Voiles (Shane); sister, Jean Childs (Joe) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and her son, Paul.
In her leisure time, Shirley enjoyed the simple pleasures of drinking coffee and working on word puzzles. Her love for these activities brought her much joy and comfort throughout her life.
Shirley's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
