Mathes, Shirley Jean, age 71, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 1, 2011. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mathes and brothers Johnny and Bobby Boling. She is survived by her son Terry Mathes and wife, Tracye; daughters, Teresa Roberson and husband, Frank; Tina Ross; Karen Lopez and husband Joe; and Debbie Vierra; grandchildren: Tabitha, Jaclyn, Ryan, Brittany, Michael, Tiffany, Danielle, Shane, and Josh; great-grandchildren: Keeley and Luke; sister, Bobby Jean Boles; and aunt Edna Black. Family and close friends will meet at the rotunda at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Friday at 11:30 AM for graveside services, Rev. Beau Riffey officiating. Friends and family may call at their convenience on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
