Sidney (Williford) Scarlett,age 97, of Knoxville, entered her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 6,2016. She was a charter member of Flint Gap Baptist Church.Preceded in death by parents,George and Ora Williford; husband, Emert Scarlett; brothers,Tom, Henry, and Pat; step-children,Emert Scarlett, Jr., Grace Seals, and Ruby Stiles. Survived by children, Buelah Morgan, Ruth and husband Duke Lopez, of San Gabriel, California, Inez Fleenor,George (Sherry) Scarlett, Carolyn (J. Harold) Cate, Brenda (Charles) Osborne, Christine (Ikie) Shepherd; sister, Frances Johnson; brothers, Herb and Fred Williford; 34 grandchildren;54 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00 p.m., Thursday at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy. The

funeral service will follow with Rev. Rick Billingham and Rev.William Bradley officiating. Family and friends will meet at11:00 a.m., Friday at Deep Springs Cemetery for the interment.Grandsons will be pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Flint Gap Baptist Church.
