Sylvia Baker Alley, age 75, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 28, 2018. She was a member of City View Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She spent her life helping others as a nurse. She worked at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital for close to 20 years and later served as a Hospice volunteer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents John (Bid) and Mildred (Mickey) Baker; and brother, Don Baker. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Billy Williamson; son and daughter-in-law Chris and Michelle Alley; grandchildren: Ryan Williamson, Sarah Jacques, Corie Missildine, Ben Alley, Taylor Williamson; great-grandchildren: Meredith and Bennett Williamson; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Pat Baker, brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Rosie Baker. Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Weaver Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Gene Hurley officiating. Family and friends will meet at New Gray Cemetery on Friday, November 2, 2018 for a 10:00 AM interment service. Condolences may be offered at www.weaverfuneralservices.com

Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Sylvia was a very sweet person and always had a sweet smile. We have missed her at church, and know she will be greatly missed by family and friends.

We are so saddened to hear of Sweet Sylvia's death. She was a precious person; always so kind and encouraging with such a sweet, and humble spirit.
