Ted retired in 1999 from TVA. He worked in Mechanical Maintenance as a pipefitter.
Preceded in death by parents, Brad, and Maggie Mitchell and nine siblings.
Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Sharon (Hartman) Mitchell; children, Jody (Sue) Mitchell, Sallie (Kevin) Reed, Teddy (Amy) Mitchell II; grandchildren, Ian, Tyler, Lexie, Molly, Emma, Olivia, and Aaron; great grandchildren, Jameson, Iris, Buck, Ivy, and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday, at Highland Park Baptist Church in Lenoir City from 5-7 pm with the service to follow at 7pm.
Family and friends will gather at 10:45 am on Saturday at Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City for an 11 am interment. Officiating, Eddie Click. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
