Brenda, we were so sorry to hear of Ted's passing. He was truly a sweet and special soul...and a true blessing to all who knew and loved him. Please know that we're holding you in our hearts and praying that God will give you comfort and peace in knowing you will be reunited. Praise God!

Ted was a wonderful friend and coworker at Mayfield Dairy. We had the opportunity to enjoy Ted's friendship and humor at work, at his home and also coaching youth football together many, many years ago.  Ted was a friend to anyone he ever met and loved life to the fullest. We have so many fond memories of Ted that will never leave our hearts.  Brenda, we are so sorry for your loss. Ted was larger than life in so many ways! I think all who knew him would agree.

Ted’s true, lifelong, loving devotion to Brenda was inspiring. His genuine love for family and friends without doubt. His ability to celebrate and have fun was legendary. His outlook and perseverance during his hardest times an example to us all!

Ted was more than a cousin, he was also one gateway to all my Murray relatives that settled in the Knoxville area over 200 years ago.  His life reflected the previous generation’s fine attributes of family, honor, honesty, hard work, generosity and care for others.
I have great pride being from the same family tree as Ted and hope to emulate those fine traits exhibited by Ted more often.

I’m sure all who mourn him have special memories with Ted that are irreplaceable. Mine include a little “Jack”, a sip of “Shine”, phone calls just because, a family heirloom gift, good margaritas and singing “Rocky Top” more than once after a University of Tennessee football win!

Well done Ted!  Your “larger than life” example will always be remembered. Thank you for sharing it with us, we love you and miss you!

From the time Mom and Dad moved onto Murray hill, I always enjoyed being able to tag along with Ted or Sandy and even though they teased me unmercifully I always jumped at the chance to be with them. Ted got me my first job as a pullup at Mayfields. That's how I payed for my first car. Ted was top notch! Even though I had not seen him and Brenda for many years they have always held a special place in my heart and I love them both very much. I will look forward to seeing Ted again when the time comes! May God be with you, Brenda and I hope you have lots of love around you during such trying times.

Dear Brenda....not sure you rem. us as its been 35 yrs. or more thatwe saw you. We are two that enjoyed your most excellent hospitaltity....living in Powell you entertained many of us many times....will never forget.  We are so sorry to read Ted's obit.....sooo sad. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with Brenda and the Murray Family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Teddy. Growing up, our families were neighbors for many years, not only that, Ted’s Aunt married my Uncle, so we shared the same Aunt & Uncle,  my Cousins were Ted’s cousins, so many memories of the Murray family. RIP, my friend.

Ted and Brenda welcomed  me into the family with open arms, love, and compassion. Ted and Sandy where very close. Ted was so happy for Sandy and myself. Ted treated me like a brother, not a brother-n-law. Ted loved Brenda with all his heart, she was the love of his life.  After Sandy passed away, nothing changed. Ted and Brenda have always treated me like family.

I don’t believe you would find anyone with a heart like Ted’s, he had a huge heart and was an overall wonderful man and friend!  We are so thankful and blessed for the privilege to have known and work with Ted. To know Ted was to also know his beautiful wife Brenda who is a dear friend and our heart breaks for you. Brenda you are in our thoughts and prayers and we send our heartfelt condolences. 

People come and go in this world every day. All of them are special to someone near them. Ted was one of those people who was special to everyone, he never met a stranger and had the ability to make you feel appreciated whether you were a friend, employee or just someone he met on the street. Ted was one of special ones who will leave a hole in so many peoples heart. Prayers for Brenda and all the family and dear friends

I have fond memories of Ted joining us and becoming a vital part of our Missions Construction Teams dedicated to building churches in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.  Ted fitted right into three of our twelve trips. Probably the most memorable was in Communist Cuba, Ted paid his way asking nothing in return. That's the kind of man he was. He helped people have a church who could not help themselves.   

  I worked with Ted for years, He was truly a “People Person”, He will be missed.

I feel blessed to have known Teddy.  He truly knew no strangers and had a way of making you feel like a friend upon your first acquaintance.  His life made the world a brighter place and he will be greatly missed.
My heart breaks for you Brenda and for the rest of his family.  I pray that you may all take comfort in the fact that he was loved by so many.
