Terry R. Garrett Sr.

Terry Richard Garrett Sr., 67, of Knoxville TN, went to be with his Lord on October 17th, 2016 with his family by his side. He courageously fought cancer for over two years never losing his spirit or faith. Waiting in Heaven for him are his parents; father, Gene Garrett and mother, Hattie Garrett; granddaughter, Jaylen Dean Garrett. Terry is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Terry, Jr. (Shayla), Chris (Tina) and James (Cindy), Monica Briggs; grandchildren, Abbie , Brandon, Zack, Amber, Cameron, Jordan, Bradley, Paige and Kenzie; brother, Sonny Garrett; sister, B.J. (Jim) Gossage; several nieces and nephews.

Terry enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. He was known by many as "Mr. Fix-it", often coming to the aid of those who needed a helping hand. Most of all, Terry enjoyed his role as "Papaw" and spending time with his many grandchildren. He was an active member at First Apostolic Church of Knoxville. Terry served as Shop Supervisor at Baptist hospital for several years and ended his career at Tennova in Turkey Creek. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7:30 Wednesday at First Apostolic Church with service to follow. Bishop Billy McCool officiating.
