I first met Tom in a Physical Education class at UT. We were acquainted but not really friends. I later served in the 3292d USAR SCHOOL in Knoxville. While I served as an instructor Tom became our Sergeant Major. His vision, hard work and dedication transformed this group of NCO instructors into a top echelon unit. At AT (summer camp) while most of us were out having fun at night Tom was busy preparing, visualizing and working countless hours to improve unit efficiency. He was dedicated, fair and a strong leader. I greatly admired his leadership and example! I was proud to call him friend!

Many, actually countless, Ol’ Vol athletes owe a debt of gratitude to TK for keeping us “ in the game” when we were banged up and bruised “walking wounded “!

Tom was a real professional....he took his role as trainer very seriously and was an integral part of our Championship Football Program in the mid and late 60’s.

I always enjoyed visiting with TK at our letterman functions. Condolences to his family,
Jerry Holloway
