On Friday, July 20, 2018, Tim Williams passed peacefully to Eternity after a v-fib event and anoxic brain injury. Tim’s priorities were faith, family, career, and community. Tim reflected those values daily as he went about life. Tim had a strong faith in Jesus and knew that God was leading his steps. Tim and Rebecca Wanamaker Williams, his wife of 20 years, have three treasured children. Tim was a great partner and made sure that Rebecca consistently felt loved and cherished. Their children (Meredith -12, Amelia -11, & Victoria – 9) were a source of joy, amazement, and purpose, and they miss their daddy. Tim is the son of Larry & Janice Williams of Cary, NC who are proud of the man Tim became and the legacy he leaves. Tim has three sisters he loved (Andrea Williams, Bobbie Gill, & Kellie Williams) who will miss the wet willies he faithfully gave them. Tim was a senior manager at Pilot Flying J. His greatest enjoyment at work was helping the people around him be successful at their jobs. He previously worked with Scripps (SNI), PerfectServe, and Dana. Tim enjoyed being involved in organizations that serve people locally, and local church involvement was important to him. He previously served at Tecumseh Assembly of God and Freedom House Church, and was currently attending Park West Church. Tim was a great friend to many people and was good at building and maintaining relationships. His influence and impact on the world has a broad reach. Tim will be greatly missed by the people whose lives he touched, but there is comfort in knowing that he is in the presence of God and is whole once again. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at Park West Church. Funeral Services will begin at 7 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Tim’s daughters’ education fund. Checks can be made to TD Ameritrade College Savings Plan with Timothy D. Williams in the memo line. Contact Joe Wanamaker for additional information (734-223-3630). Condolences may be shared with the family at www.BerryHighlandWest.com.

I had the pleasure of serving with Tim and Rebecca on the worship team at Tecumseh Assembly of God for several years. I have many fond memories of time spent with both of you and your lovely family - too many to mention! Our hearts are broken for your loss, but we also celebrate knowing that we will all be together again in Heaven. Jesus is the reason that our paths crossed and I will always be grateful that they did! We send our love and hugs to you and all of your family!

“What a nice guy!” That’s what I’ve always said about Tim! I remember the excitement of Tim and Rebecca dating in college...I think everyone was excited that two great people got together...one from the South and one from the North! - Beth Stephens

I’ll never forget the day that I met Tim when he came to work at Scripps. We were in a conference room and he walked in and was introduced to our team. His presence just made our chaos filled group/meeting seem to relax and ease our worries. He truly was not only a wonderful Scrum Master/PM but an incredible person inside and out!

As I got to know Tim on a personal basis, I always referred to him as ‘Timmy’ from Timmy and Lassie shows (he reminded me of a grown-up Timmy with his kindness and soulful personality). Each time we would meet, I would ask him ‘how are things at the well’ and he always played along and had a quick humorous response each time that included updates on his wife and girls. His family was EVERYTHING to him and he was such a proud husband and dad!

Not sure the world knows how much this incredible guy will be missed but I am sure God & Heaven are swapping great stories and laughs. I am a better person today because I got to, not only work with ‘Timmy’ but have him as a good friend.

Thank you, Timmy and May God Bless Your family.

Tim was the youth leader when I went to Tecumseh Assembly of God! I remember his infectious smile and the humor only Rebecca could love. He would host youth parties at his house and really made us feel like family! I will never forget when they found out they were pregnant for the first time and he went into pure excitement mode. Putting that man in a bad mood was now impossible! He was so excited and wanted to be the perfect father! The legacy he has left behind will continue on forever! He was one of my favorite people in the world and I will forever miss him! Until we meet again Tim! Love always!

Tim was just so dear and sweet. Supportive, funny, and dedicated to success of his team. My favorite memory of him will always be our shared love of Jim Henson's the Muppet Show. His sudden passing has touched all of us who knew him this week and rocked the Knoxville communities he so joyfully contributed to. I know so many will step up in the coming hard months to support his wife, 3 daughters, and extended family. You only get one life on this tiny blue planet. While you are here, live well and love well. Rest in peace Tim, you clearly did both.

I only worked with Tim for a short while but he so impressed me with his kindness and his manner. My thoughts and prayers are with his family through this time and years to come. He was a good man and I'm blessed for having met him.

I did not know Tim but I drive a school bus. I did this with his cousin Jill Williams Stankovich. If Tim was anything like Jill I am sure he was a hoot! I will continue to ask God to comfort this family.. Love in Christ, Beth Bru
