Veda Belle Beasley

Veda Waggoner Beasley, age 84, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2015. Veda was born on March 5, 1931, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and was the daughter of William Jacob Waggoner and Willie Jane Franklin. She was a devoted wife and mother to her three children and a long-time caregiver to her aunt, uncle, mother, husband, and grandchildren. Her life was focused on her love for and commitment to her immediate and extended family. Veda lived for 49 years in the Cherry Hill Park neighborhood where she had many friends whom she considered part of her family. She wished to express a special thanks to Kathy Ewing, Pat Hungate, and the staff of Tennova Residential Hospice who served a loving and caring role at the end of her journey. Veda is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James Clifford Beasley, grandson Logan Beasley, and her mother and father. She is survived by her sister Joyce Jefferson, brother Buddy Waggoner, sons Doug and Brian Beasley, daughter Merry Anderson, son-in-law Jason Anderson, daughter-in-law Susan Finger Beasley, granddaughter Rowan Beasley, grandsons Connor Beasley, Riley and Grayson Anderson, and great-granddaughter Faith Thompson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 10:00 am.at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home.
