Velma Ruth Bradford

Velma Ruth Bradford, age 90 of Knoxville, passed away at her home on August 20, 2021. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Oak Ridge Chapter #390, and the Clinch Valley Chapter #369. Velma was a retired secretary working for the Chief of Police, the Sheriff and Traffic Engineering. Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Bradford, Jr; parents, James and Myrtle Gattis; sisters, Mary, Ollie, and Wilma; brother, A.C. Gattis. Survived by her children, Blenda (Tommy) Norman, Sherran Key, Herbert Bradford, III, David (Tami) Bradford, Sr., 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, very special niece, Helen Huffaker and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday at Weaver Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm with the service to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Dr. David Tabor officiating.
