Vera L Rutherford

Vera Lorraine Rutherford, age 95, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Born on June 27, 1930, Vera lived a full and meaningful life devoted to her family and community.

Vera dedicated many years of service to Fi-Shock before her well-earned retirement. She was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Rutherford; her father, Charlie McKinley Cook; her mother, Jimmie Gross Cook; two brothers, Hershel Cook and James Cook; and her son, Floyd M. Cook.

Vera leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughter, Jane Rutherford Frame (Coy); her son, Jackie Rutherford; granddaughter Tracy Gee (Wendell); grandson Roger Dale Russell Jr. (Lisa); Bradley Sweat (Lina); and Cody Frame. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy, as well as her special friend, Leona Householder.

Vera's legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held at Berry Funeral Home, located at 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, on December 19, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service, officiated by Robert Shaffer will follow at the same location starting at 7:00 pm.

A graveside service will take place at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN 37701, on December 20, 2025, at 11:00 am.
