KITTS, VERNA L. – age 89 of Knoxville, formerly from Cades Cove, passed away at 11:45 pm, March 13, 2015 at West Hills Nursing Home. Preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Kitts and son, Edward L. “Butch” Kitts. Survived by daughter, Vivian J. “Suzie” Hazlewood, Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Sherry Kitts, Lenoir City and David and Debbie Kitts of Knoxville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends in Weaver’s chapel Tuesday, March 17th from 10:30 am-12:00 pm with chapel service to follow. Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Family and friends will proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery following service for interment.
