Vernon Budde Jr.

Vernon Bernard Budde, Jr., age 94, of Knoxville, passed away at his home on May 31, 2026. Mr. Budde was born on August 2, 1931, to Vernon Bernard Budde, Sr. and Pauline Buck Budde and grew up in Paducah, KY. He graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1948, served some-time in the U.S. Army, and then graduated from The University of Kentucky, with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Mr. Budde moved to Knoxville after his college graduation and worked for TVA. He married his wife of 65 years, Charlotte Price, in 1965. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son Michael.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte; son, Ron (Tricia) and six grandchildren, Stella, Macy, Laney, Aslyn, Stokes and Kirk, all of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter-in-law, Heather; sisters-in-law, Linda Weaver, and Rosemary Davenport of Knoxville; brother-in-law, Robert Price of Jonesboro, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Mass Service is scheduled for Monday at 12:00pm at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church with the burial to follow at 3:00 pm at the Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Hwy.
