This is Skip Ledbetter I've known Vicki since high school at Central she was always voted the best dressed each year her pocketbook and her belt and shoes always matched she was a beautiful young lady after my first divorce and her divorce we decided to go out we took our two children who were immaculately dressed with my two boys who had on Ruddy looking shoes and clothing thanks to their mom and as we received our pizza at Chuck e cheese my the youngest son Brad then now called Rod threw up all over the pizza and that splattered onto Vicki and her children it was a disastrous evening but Vicki and I remained close friends... She had a very strong heart sorry to hear that she has passed

Our deepest condolences go out to Wendell and to Vicki's extended family.  

We were a customer of Volunteer Lawn.  I remembered Vicki being very supportive of her husband, Wendell in the business.  She always was so gracious, kind and friendly to us as customers, traits that I appreciate and will always treasure.  

Prayers go out for her late mother, Bonnie and our friends from the neighborhood, Sandy and Ken Nixon.  God Bless you all.

I’ve known Vicki since I was in high school with Brooke, and from the very beginning, her home was a place where people were welcome. She created a life she was proud of and shared it in a way that brought people together, whether for celebrations, time with family, or simply being included.

She had a strong, unmistakable presence and a way of making things feel a little more special. I’ll always appreciate how she opened her doors to my family over the years, and how that connection carried on into the next generation, with her granddaughter and my daughter building their own friendship.

She faced her long battle with a quiet determination that reflected her strength. The life she built, the experiences she shared, and the memories created in her home will stay with many of us.

Keeping her family in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Vicki was such a passionate person, always busy and living life to the fullest. I was her golf coach for many years, loved teaching her and helping her enjoy the sport as she worked to be better. I think of her often, always with great memories.

Vicki and I were good friends from high school and at Central Baptist Church. I lost touch with her but we reconnected about 10 years ago. I spent the last couple of years taking with her about her cancer and she always had such a positive outlook. I was saddened to here about her passing. God bless her family and know she is in peace with her Lord and Savior.

Brooke and I have been lifelong friends, and I’ve known Vicki just as long. But you don’t always realize how special the parents of your best friend are—they’re just always there in the background of your teenage years and everything you go through.

Vicki was a force. She loved fiercely, filled every room she walked into, and you could never get far into a conversation without her proudly talking about Brooke & Brandon, then eventually adding in Alexus. They were her whole world.

She was so generous—later in life, she hosted both my wedding and baby showers, always kind and welcoming, even after seeing us through all those teenage years. 

She fought until the very end, and she will be so dearly missed.

I only spent time with Vicki a few times through my friendship with Brooke and her family. Every time I spoke with Vicki she was absolutely fabulous. She was an entrepreneur, dressed to the hilt and her sunglasses were incredible! She always greeted me with a beautiful smile! You will be missed by so many family and friends.
