Virgie Lee Loveday Welch, 94, born August 5, 1923, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was a member of Seven Islands Baptist Church but was unable to attend the last several years due to illness. Preceded in death by husband: Theodore Welch, Daughter: Judy Perry, sons: Billy and Teddy Welch, parents: Thomas and Edna Loveday, brothers: Samuel, Frank, Clayton and Buford Loveday and special grandson: Travis Welch.
Survived by: daughter: Delores Maples, son: Lonnie (Jane) Welch, daughter-in-law: Patty Welch, son-in-law: Ray Perry, sisters: Reba (Paul) Peer and Faye Ossenbeck, Brother: TL Loveday. Grandchildren: Brenda (Joe) Yarbrough, Tina (Ricky) Dodson, Deborah (Andrew) Price, Sheri (Jamie) Tipton, Kristi Haggard (fiancé David Nelson), Tim (Diane) Welch, Sandra (Steve) Hancock, Melissa (Robert) Wells, Amy Welch (fiancé Laura Hill) and Numerous Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff in Villa 4 and 6 at Williamsburg Villas Alzheimer’s and Assisted Living facility and Smokey Mountain Hospice for their love and care in Virgie’s last years.
