Virginia J. “Gran” Robinson age 88 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Tennova Regional. Member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. She retired from Federated Department Stores (Rich’s, Miller’s and Hess’s). Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Alvin Robinson; daughter, Teresa Hicks; several siblings. Survived by son, James D. Floyd and wife Bobbi; daughter, Celeste Troutman and husband Steve; step-son, Joe Robinson and family; grandchildren, David L. Hicks, Jr., Brian Floyd, Stephanie Reagan, Leslie Rogers, Shawn Floyd, Zach Troutman, Josh Alford and Jessica Alford; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl (uncle Boss) Watkins; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm Sunday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 4 pm. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 am Monday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 12 pm interment.
