Virginia C. Wells

Virginia C. Wells, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home, June 28, 2016. Mrs. Wells was the daughter of Thorton Randolph and Bessie Carter of Appomattox County, VA. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddie Neal Wells; two children, Michael Wells and Gordon Wells; 9 brothers and sisters; 3 half-brothers. She leaves to mourn her, son, Gregory Wells; her beloved niece, Lois Williams and Lois’ spouse, George Williams.

Virginia retired from East Tennessee Baptist Hospital after more than 40 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and of the Order of the Eastern Star. The family will receive friends at Weaver Funeral Home, Friday, 11 am – 1 pm, followed by the funeral, Dr. Ronald Stewart officiating. Friends and family will meet at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, 2:15 pm Friday, for 2:30 interment services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pat Summit Foundation at www.patsummitt.org.
