May God give you comfort in this hour of sadness. Vernon taught me a lot about life and was a really good role model in the 50 years we worked together.

please let me know if you need anything, I do have many Christmas cards to be shared with the church or organizations. Please let me know if you would like them. They are brand new in the box. Judy (I had bought them for my childrens scout troops to send to soldiers overseas but we no longer have a contact to send them)

Sadly, the last of a mighty group of siblings has passed.
Uncle Vernon will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
Having grown up around Vernon, his brothers and sisters, and having his brother Sillus as my grandfather were some of the nicest blessings one could have.
I regret not being able to join the rest of our family in remembering and honoring his life, but will carry many happy memories of him for ages to come.

There was absolutely no one like Papaw Ayres,,He was an amazing Christian man. My children (his great-grand children) adored him. My late husband Jerry Lynn (his grandson) always looked up to him and considered him his mentor in so many was. We have so many happy memories of joy with him. He loved the Lord so much and was a powerful witness to everyone around him. We look forward to seeing him some sweet day in Heaven.
