Walter "Bud" Maples

Walter (Bud) Maples, age 83 of Strawberry Plains, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 18, 2021. Bud was of the Baptist faith, he retired from Rogers Cadillac. Bud was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Tammy; brothers, Gene and George; sisters, Mary and Nadine. He is survived by wife of 54 years, Barbara (Helms) Maples; son, Allen (Sandy) Surgenor; daughters, Tesia (Mike) Glenn and Misty (Tim) Williams; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Loretta Maples; brother, James Maples; several nieces and nephews also survive and several special friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway, Knoxville.
