

Wilford Lee Armstrong age 86 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War on the USS Boyd. Will was a Mason for many years, he was also a NASCAR driver in Nashville, TN. He was the owner of Armstrong Airport Lighting. Will loved fishing, boating and watching the races. Preceded in death by his parents Vestel and Martha Armstrong and sister Mary Ruth Parker. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years Helen Mowery Armstrong, their children and spouses Terry Lee and Betsey Armstrong, Robin and Dwayne Hirsh, and Shannon and Bobby Fry, grandchildren and spouses Lee Ryan and Hope Armstrong, Mark and Kayla Armstrong, Cory and Kayleigh Hirsh, Jade and Matt Hambley, and Skylar Hopt, and great-grandchildren Jayden Goff, Landon Hambley and Dustin Hirsh, sister Barbara Aukamp, many nieces and nephews and nephews and special friends Rodney and Sara K. McGill. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 1-2pm at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, 37919. There will be Graveside Services to follow at 2pm.
