William “Bill” Walter Clarkson, age 85, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on December 27, 2025. Bill proudly served in the Army for 23 years. He devoted 55 years of his time to the Masonic Lodge and Shriners along with other lodges. Preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Clarkson; parents, Albert and Mary Clarkson; brother, Albert “Bud” Clarkson, II.
Survived by his beloved children, Billy (Kay), Karen (Mike) and Teresa; grandchildren, Ashley (Mike), Brian, Tia (Tony), Leslie (Dustin) and Johnny, known as Papaw great to the following, great-grandchildren, Michael, Kylie, Preston, Tanner, Issac, Gavin, Tom, John, Jaxson, Atlas, Levi and Luke; Great-great-grandchildren, Luna and Jasper. Best friend, Larry Hubbs. He will be missed by all who loved him. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 10:45 am Wednesday for an 11 am Graveside Service.
