William "Bill" Edgar Davis, age 75, of Knoxville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was a first trumpet player in the South High and Pride of the Southland Band. He was of the Baptist faith and served the Lord as a Youth Director and Music Minister in 3 different states during his lifetime. Bill will be remembered as "King of the Bad Jokes."
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Maybelle Davis and brother, Harold Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joan Davis; daughters, Alisa Davis (Bob), Laurie Webb; grandchildren, Zachary Davis, Jacob Harrison, Nicole Pereyo and many extended family members.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 8, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, with a Funeral Service to follow officiated by Rev. Lucky Steele. Family and friends will go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, immediately following the funeral for an Interment Service.
