William L. (Bill) Davis, 89, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was a member of Agape Baptist Church in White Pine. Bill served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne during the Korean war. He retired from the University of Tennessee as paint shop foreman. He was preceded in death by parents, William P. and Edna M. Davis; wife, Malissa Davis; 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Bill is survived by brothers, James R. (Joan) Davis and Richard B. Davis; special niece and nephews, Becky (Terry) Nichols, Donnie K. Davis and Randy Davis; Bill was known as Poppy by his special great-nieces and nephews, Shannon (Brice) Hughes, Jessi Davis, Keith (Casie) Vance and many nieces and nephews and relatives. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Hwy, funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. John Bales officiating.
