

Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. Bill was a dedicated member of the long-haul trucking family for the majority of his life, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. He proudly served his country as a member of the Army and was stationed in Germany. Bill’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Bill was a man who loved spending time with family and friends, tinkering on cars, lending a helping hand to anyone in need, and driving the backroads with the windows down.
Preceded in death by parents, Ray and Hettie Hatcher; brothers, Larry, TJ, and Jackie Hatcher; sisters, Irene Loveday, Doris Ann Phillips, Loretta Hatcher.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Hatcher (Patricia); his sons, Josh Hatcher (Ashley), Kyle Scott (Jessica), Derek Montgomery; his daughters, Niki Matlock (Chris), Shannon Scott; and his grandchildren, Johnson, Benton, Anna Kate, Colin, and Blake. He is also survived by special family members, Otha Hatcher (Sandra), Rita Hunley, Jason Hatcher, Heather Hatcher (Anthony), as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the parlors of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN. Family and friends will meet Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Boyds Creek Cemetery, 1262 Jim Fain Road, Sevierville, TN for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service officiated by Pastor Terry "Peach" Parton.
