William (Bill) Frank Long, 87, of Seymour, TN went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 15, 2018. Bill was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church and a 32nd degree of the Scottish Rites of Free Mason of Knoxville. He loved to witness for the Lord through music by playing the organ. Bill was a graduate of Young High School and was the Assistant Manager at City Tire Store in Knoxville. Bill was a devoted Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Preceded in death by parents D.W. and Louise Long; wife, Thelma Joyce Long; two sisters, Mildred Branum and Carlotta Johnson. He is survived by three daughters and Sons-in-law, Melinda and Clayton Weaver, Kathy and Gary Hicks and Janie and Chris Hodge; son, John long. Six grandchildren, Valerie (Rex) Richardson, K.C. (Julie) Weaver, Josh Hicks, Jason Hodge, Emily Long and Rebekah Long; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Trinity Weaver. Several nieces and nephews. Special mention to friend and companion Theresa Huskey, Denise and Max Gosnell, Paulette and Keith Brewer, Carson Branum, Theresa and David Renfro, Richard and Doris Kloepping, Floyd and Wanda Powell and Holston Health and Rehabilitation. Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at Berry Highland South at 9010 E. Simpson Road, Knoxville. Family and friends will meet Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Berry Highland South Cemetery, 9010 E. Simpson Road, Knoxville for a 1PM Graveside Service with Rev. Floyd Powell officiating. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Valley Baptist Church, 855 Union Valley Church Road, Seymour, TN 37865. Special thanks to Whitney Smith and baby McKenley.
