Wilma J. Fox

FOX, WILMA J. - went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 8, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Her husband, Freeman pastored several churches and after retiring they loved visiting churches. She sang on Mull's Singing and her family sang on the Midday Merry Go Round and she also sang with several gospel groups. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Rogers; husband, Freeman; sons, Don and Steve; sisters, Zula Cooper and Alma Parks; brother, Fred Rogers. She is survived by her daughters, Jean and Butch Harrison and Brenda Fox; sons, Benny and Janet Fox and Larry and Kendra Fox; daughter-in-law, Beverly Fox; grandchildren, Paula, Donna, Terry, Amanda, Katie, Wendy, Jessie, Steve, Shannan, Shane, Stormi, Dusty, Megan, Amanda and Aaron; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Jackie Rogers; sister, Betty Harrison. The family wants to say thank you to all the staff at Williamsburg Villas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's association or Avalon Hospice. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 8:00 pm. Rev. Joe Copeland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 pm Wednesday at Cox View Cemetery for a 2:00 pm interment.
